Development Control Engineer needed in North London Paying Β£22.79 per hr ref OR114195
Full time hours on a temporary basis
Key Responsibilities
Development Management
- Assess planning applications and associated transport documentation, including Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Travel Plans, and Road Safety Audits.
- Provide professional highway and transportation advice on planning applications and development proposals.
- Review development layouts to ensure compliance with relevant design standards, policies, and guidance.
- Negotiate amendments to development proposals to achieve acceptable highway and transportation outcomes.
- Recommend planning conditions, obligations, and mitigation measures where required.
Highway Design and Technical Assessment
- Evaluate the impact of developments on the existing highway network.
- Assess highway design submissions, junction layouts, access proposals, parking provision, and sustainable transport measures.
- Review drainage, street lighting, traffic management, and highway infrastructure proposals.
- Ensure designs comply with national and local standards, including relevant highway specifications and design guides.
- Identify and recommend appropriate highway improvements associated with new developments.
