An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Facade Engineer to join a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy in Colchester. The role involves leading facade engineering projects across all RIBA stages, working on a range of building sectors while collaborating with architects and multidisciplinary design teams. This position suits an experienced facade engineer seeking technical ownership, hybrid working and long-term career development.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver facade engineering across all RIBA work stages
- Develop compliant facade solutions with design teams
- Complete performance analysis and technical reviews
- Attend client meetings and design workshops
- Support procurement and construction stage services
- Assist with proposals and business development
- Use modelling software to assess facade performance
- Maintain knowledge of UK regulations and standards
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven facade engineering project delivery
- Strong knowledge of UK facade regulations
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Professional membership or chartership progression
- Knowledge of EWS1 and cladding compliance beneficial
- Commercial awareness supporting bids desirable
