An established civil engineering company is looking for a motivated Civil Engineer to join its growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone who's already gained some experience in their career but who still wants to develop further and get to work across a varied mix of civil infrastructure, drainage, highways, earthworks and geotechnical-related projects. The role would suit an engineer who enjoys practical design work, problem solving and using modern digital design tools. You will be involved in projects from early-stage feasibility through to detailed design and construction support, working closely with experienced engineers in a technically focused team.
The Role
- You will support the delivery of civil engineering design work, including:
- Producing drawings, models and design information using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Supporting drainage, highways, levels, earthworks and infrastructure design
- Preparing technical reports, calculations, design notes and project documentation
- Assisting with geotechnical assessments and interpretation of ground investigation information
- Supporting site inspections, surveys and construction-stage queries
- Helping ensure designs consider safety, buildability, quality and value
- Working collaboratively with engineers, clients, contractors and project teams
- Contributing to digital engineering, BIM and improved design workflows
About You
- The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree in Civil Engineering or similar
- Previous industry experience
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD
- Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D would be advantageous
- Understanding of drainage, infrastructure, earthworks or highways
- Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
- A proactive attitude and interest in progressing towards Chartership
