We are recruiting an experienced Setting Out Engineer for a major National Grid substation project in Harker, Carlisle. The project involves major 400kV/132kV infrastructure, transformer foundations and extensive civils including earthworks, RC foundations, drainage, ducting and roads.
Responsibilities
- Setting out civil engineering works accurately from drawings
- Surveying using Total Station / GPS
- Setting out foundations, drainage, ducting, roads and earthworks
- Producing as-built surveys and maintaining site records
- Supporting QA, ITPs and technical queries
- Working closely with Site Management and subcontractors
Requirements
- Previous Setting Out / Site Engineering experience
- Strong civils or infrastructure background
- Proficient with Total Station and GPS
- Ability to read engineering drawings and coordinates
- CSCS
- National Grid / substation experience desirable
