Pay & Package Options
- Salary Package: £43,000 rising to £45,000 per annum on completion of 3 month probation. 33 days holiday (including bank holidays). Company van, fuel card, tools & uniform provided.
- Guaranteed Day Rate Option 1: £200 per day. Paid via Umbrella PAYE. Company van, fuel card, tools & uniform provided.
- Guaranteed Day Rate Option 2: £275 per day. Paid via Umbrella PAYE. Engineer provides own van & fuel. Tools & uniform provided.
Bonus Breakdown
- KPI Bonus: £150 per month. Achieved by hitting 75% job completion in a calendar month.
- Attendance Bonus: £150 per month. Awarded for full attendance with no sick days. Pro-rated for holidays.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm (1-hour lunch). Minimum 4 jobs per day / 20 per week. Optional weekend work available once weekly targets are met.
Call Out
1 week in 4 rota. Standby payments Monday-Sunday. Per job rates: £150 per dual install, £80 per single, £50 per transactional job. Saturday work available (paid at day rate).
The Role
As a Dual Fuel Engineer with Orion, you’ll benefit from a stable role with strong earning potential and a supportive team. You will:
- Install smart meters safely and efficiently in domestic properties.
- Deliver a professional, customer-focused service.
- Ensure all work meets industry safety and compliance standards.
- Represent Orion as part of a nationwide engineering team.
Requirements
- Smart Meter Engineering qualification or diploma.
- CMA1 or CCN1 & MET1.
- MOCOPA certification (or completed during induction).
- Full UK driving licence.
- Clean DBS check (recent within 3 months preferred).
- EUSR card (advantageous, not essential).

Driving licence, passport, gas certificates, MOCOPA, qualifications, NI number, references, and DBS.
