We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Engineer to join a growing team delivering new build residential housing developments. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within the housebuilding sector while gaining hands‑on experience supporting the engineering and technical delivery of residential projects.

Working alongside senior engineers and technical teams, you will assist with the coordination and management of engineering aspects of housing developments from design through to construction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the engineering design and delivery of new build housing developments
  • Support the coordination of drainage, highways, and infrastructure designs
  • Liaise with consultants, contractors, and local authorities
  • Assist with obtaining technical approvals including S38, S104, and S278 agreements
  • Review engineering drawings, technical information, and design documentation
  • Monitor progress of infrastructure works on site
  • Support with resolving technical and engineering issues during construction
  • Maintain project documentation and engineering records
Requirements
  • Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (or working towards)
  • Previous experience or placement within residential construction, housebuilding, or civil engineering preferred
  • Basic understanding of drainage, highways, and infrastructure design
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with technical and site teams
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (AutoCAD knowledge beneficial)
  • Full UK driving licence desirable
