We’re currently working with an established, multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy looking to appoint a Structural Project Engineer to strengthen its growing Bristol team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Structural Engineer who enjoys taking ownership of projects and wants to progress within a supportive, technically strong environment.

You’ll be joining a collaborative building structures team delivering a diverse portfolio of projects across industrial, residential, commercial, education, healthcare and mixed‑use sectors. Working alongside experienced engineers and technicians, you’ll play a key role in the design and delivery of schemes from concept through to construction. This role offers genuine project responsibility, exposure to clients and the chance to contribute to high‑quality, architecturally led developments. With a strong pipeline of work and a people‑focused culture, this is a great platform for engineers who want to develop technically while also building their leadership and project management skills.

Our client is seeking a capable Structural Project Engineer who can manage their own workload, produce high‑quality structural designs and confidently support junior staff – someone who enjoys problem‑solving and takes pride in delivering well‑coordinated, buildable solutions.

What You Need To Succeed
  • Minimum 3‑6 years’ UK buildings structures experience.
  • Strong design capability in steel, concrete, masonry and timber.
  • Experience using structural software such as Tekla Structural Designer, Tedds, Robot, ETABS or similar.
  • Confidence producing calculations, reports and coordinating with technicians.
  • Ability to manage packages of work and contribute to project delivery.
  • Good communication skills for liaising with clients, architects and contractors.
  • A proactive approach and willingness to support junior engineers.
  • A strong academic background with a BEng or MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Chartered – or working towards – with the IStructE or ICE.
