An exciting opportunity for a Project Civil Engineer to join a growing civil engineering and infrastructure contractor delivering a diverse portfolio of projects across the South West. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of technical delivery, site coordination, and engineering support on a range of civil engineering schemes, working closely with project teams, clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders. The position would be particularly well suited to candidates based in Bristol, Somerset, Wiltshire, or South Gloucestershire seeking long-term career development within a progressive project environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and delivery of civil engineering and infrastructure projects
  • Prepare and review technical documentation, drawings, and engineering solutions
  • Coordinate site activities to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements
  • Manage setting out activities and ensure quality standards are maintained
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and assist in resolving technical challenges
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project stakeholders
  • Support commercial and project management teams with reporting and programme updates
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
  • Assist with project planning, procurement, and resource coordination

The Ideal Candidate

  • Degree or HNC/HND qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • Previous experience as a Project Engineer, Site Engineer, Civil Engineer, or Section Engineer
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering construction methodologies
  • Experience working on infrastructure, highways, earthworks, drainage, utilities, structures, public realm, or environmental projects
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Full UK driving licence
