PCB Design Engineer (KiCAD) – 6 Month Contract – Bristol

Role: Contract Electronics/PCB designer to support my clients hardware programmes.

Scope of work:

  • Schematic capture and PCB layout
  • Ownership of the wider CAD environment - part libraries, symbol/footprint database, schematics hygiene - not just layout in isolation

Essential:

  • Comfortable working in KiCad (primary tool of choice)
  • Experience with high-density digital PCBs
  • Strong grasp of differential pair routing and clearance requirements

Desirable:

  • Holds Security Clearance (SC) (Not necessary for immediate need, but a bonus)
  • RF PCB experience
  • High-speed digital design where RF experience isn't present
  • Willingness to act as a guide on Altium
  • Based in or near Bristol - regular on-site presence in the office is a plus; occasional visits acceptable otherwise
