Role Overview

The Engineering Assistant will support the Engineering team in delivering Dandara’s residential developments by assisting with engineering approvals, Health & Safety documentation, and the progression of site adoptions. This role provides exposure to all stages of the engineering process and is ideal for someone looking to develop a career in civil engineering within a leading housebuilder.

What you will do

  • Assist in obtaining Section 38, Section 104, and Section 278 approvals, including the preparation and submission of documentation
  • Support the progression and adoption of sites, liaising with local authorities, water companies, and consultants
  • Assist in collating and maintaining Health & Safety files in line with LA requirements
  • Support road space booking applications and coordination with highway authorities
  • Liaise with external consultants, statutory bodies, and utility providers to track progress and resolve queries
  • Maintain trackers and records for approvals, adoptions, and engineering information
  • Assist with the coordination, review, and issue of engineering drawings and technical information
  • Support site teams with engineering-related queries
  • Attend meetings as required and assist with actions and follow-ups

What you will have

Essential
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office
  • Experience with AutoCAD
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Interest in civil engineering, construction, or residential development
Desirable
  • HNC/HND, degree (or working towards) in Civil Engineering or related discipline
  • Knowledge or experience of S38, S104, and S278 processes
  • Familiarity with Health & Safety documentation and CDM requirements
