We are seeking a Structural Engineer for a 7‑week contract based in Carryduff, Belfast. This role involves utilizing Tekla Structures to deliver a mix of structural steel and architectural metalwork projects for a leading steelwork contractor. You will lead the design and detailing of structural steel (60 %) and architectural metalwork (40 %) packages.

Start Date: Mid May

Rate: £250.00 per day

Hours: 39 hours per week (8:30 AM‑5:00 PM Mon‑Thu | 8:40 AM‑4:00 PM Fri)

Contract: 7 Weeks

Location: Carryduff, Belfast (Office‑based)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Producing technical designs and calculations for a variety of steel projects.
  • Utilizing Tekla Structures for 3D modeling and drawing production.
  • Ensuring all designs comply with relevant Eurocodes and British Standards.
  • Collaborating with the detailing and production teams to resolve technical hurdles.
  • Managing project timelines to ensure delivery within the 7‑week contract window.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Structural Engineer within the steelwork sector.
  • High level of proficiency in Tekla Structures.
  • Strong background in both structural steel and architectural metalwork.
