Your new role as Civil Engineer (Water) involves playing an integral role in the planning, design, and delivery of water and wastewater projects, working as part of a collaborative team of engineers and environmental specialists. The role provides exposure to all stages of project delivery - from feasibility and outline design through to detailed design and construction support. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer to build on their consultancy experience and progress their career towards chartership while working on challenging and rewarding water sector projects.
What you will need to succeed as a Civil Engineer:
- A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience in the water and wastewater sector, ideally gained within a consultancy environment
- Strong understanding of design processes, hydraulic modelling, and/or water infrastructure delivery
- A proactive approach to professional development and working towards chartered status (ICE or Engineers Ireland)
Desirable:
- Experience with UK and Irish water utilities, frameworks, or public sector projects
- Knowledge of environmental and sustainability considerations in water projects
- Proficiency in design software such as Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, or similar packages
