The Opportunity

As Project Engineer, you will be a key member of the site team responsible for ensuring successful delivery of heavy civils works on a flagship Heathrow contract. Reporting to the Project Manager, you'll be involved in planning, coordination, technical execution and quality assurance of all engineering activities on site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and engineering support across all phases of the heavy civils project
  • Coordinate site engineering activities, including setting out, inspections, surveys and tolerance checks
  • Ensure works are executed in accordance with designs, specifications and programme
  • Collaborate with subcontractors, planners, quality and safety teams to optimise workflow
  • Prepare and review method statements, risk assessments, drawings and engineering documents
  • Monitor progress and manage engineering issues proactively
  • Support reporting and communication between site teams and senior management

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Project Engineer or senior Site Engineer on heavy civils or large infrastructure works
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering processes, temporary works and construction sequencing
  • Experience working on major projects in complex environments (airport or similar infrastructure experience desirable)
  • Excellent technical, organisational and communication skills
  • Degree or relevant qualification in Civil Engineering or similar discipline
  • Full UK driving licence
