Graduate Civil Engineer – 2026
Ferrovial Construction UK&I is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer to support day‑to‑day activities on major UK infrastructure projects through our 2‑year Graduate Development Programme.
Role Overview
The Graduate Engineer will work under the supervision of Section/Project Managers and collaborate with the site team on projects ranging from package management to full project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- These responsibilities may include
- Managing a small “Package” from start to finish
- Assisting in coordinating team activities to keep projects on budget and on time
- Ensuring health, safety, environmental and quality compliance
- Supporting the Project Manager with team management, resourcing and performance management
- Promoting Ferrovial Construction UK Vision and Values and taking ownership of assigned work
- Adhering to safe working practices and ensuring staff compliance
- Key Accountabilities
- Co‑ordination of team activities to ensure project completion on budget and time
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality requirements
- Assisting the Project Manager with team management, resourcing, performance and motivation
- Adopting and promoting Ferrovial Construction UK Vision and Values
- Taking ownership of assigned work
- Adhering to safe working practice regulations on site
Skills and Competence
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact at a variety of levels
- Degree or master’s in engineering (all disciplines considered)
- Motivated to learn and add value to the team and the Graduate Programme
- Analytical thinker who enjoys problem solving
- Proven team player who can work effectively with others
- Proactive approach to working and learning
- Commercial awareness and understanding of the industry
- Familiarity with all Microsoft packages
