The Revenue Cycle Manager (RCM) in an LTC pharmacy oversees everything related to getting the pharmacy paid accurately and on time. They manage the full billing lifecycle—from insurance verification to collections—especially in the complex world of Medicare Part A & D, Medicaid, private pay, and third-party payers.
Key Responsibilities:- Overseeing billing for LTC, SNF, ALF, hospice, and group home accounts
- Managing Medicare Part A per diem billing & census reconciliation
- Ensuring clean claims submission and minimizing rejections/denials
- Monitoring AR, collections, and payer follow-up
- Ensuring compliance with CMS, state Medicaid, and payer contracts
- Working closely with pharmacy operations, admissions, and finance
- Leading and training billing/collections staff
- Analyzing revenue trends, KPIs, and opportunities to improve cash flow
- 3–5+ years in healthcare revenue cycle management
- Strong experience in LTC pharmacy or SNF billing required
- Deep knowledge of Medicare Part A & D, Medicaid, and managed care
- Proven leadership experience managing billing teams
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with pharmacy billing systems (FrameworkLTC, QS/1, CPR+, etc.) Frameworks is a must
