YOUR ROLE

Our operation in Childerditch is looking for a Transport Supervisor to join the team. In this role you will contribute to the smooth, safe and efficient operational activities and ensure resources are allocated appropriately to effectively balance the service and cost demands.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

  • Reporting into the General Manager you will lead a team of HGV and Van drivers.
  • You will ensure the product allocation and routes are planned.
  • Maintain and enhance compliance with H&S, transport, and O‑Licence requirements by staying up to date with legislative changes and promoting professional development.
  • Monitor client volume forecasts closely and adjust resource planning to meet operational demands efficiently.
  • Ensure transport operations, drivers, and fleet fully comply with CEVA policies, DVSA regulations, and O‑Licence obligations.
  • Achieve operational targets and KPIs effectively, delivering consistent high standards for customers.
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
  • Promote and develop a safety‑first culture across the team, encouraging accountability and best practices.
  • Develop team capability and succession plans, supporting professional growth.

This is a Monday to Friday role, 08:30‑17:00.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Our ideal candidate will have proven experience in a transport environment, with strong knowledge of tachograph legislation and the Working Time Directive. You will be experienced in leading teams as well as planning routes, with a strong customer focus and confident decision‑making skills. You will be IT literate, proficient in MS Office, and ideally hold CPC qualifications.
