Your Role

CEVA Logistics has been awarded a major new contract with a high-profile client, marking an exciting phase of growth for the business expanding on our ecommerce offering. This is a new build implementation offering exciting opportunities across contract logistics. As a result, we have an amazing opportunity for a Training Manager to lead the design, delivery and governance of all training activity at our ecommerce operation. This role is critical to site start‑up, ramp‑up and long‑term operational stability, ensuring all colleagues are onboarded, trained, certified and continually developed in line with company, client and statutory standards.

What are you going to do?

  • Own and deploy the site training strategy aligned to company and client standards
  • Design and manage onboarding programmes for permanent and agency colleagues
  • Lead structured agency to company conversion training to support workforce stability
  • Own and maintain site skills matrix, ensuring capability and coverage
  • Deliver cross training programmes to improve labour resilience and flexibility
  • Ensure all work instructions are current, embedded and supported by effective training
  • Manage all MHE training, certification and refresher requirements with full audit readiness
  • Monitor training performance, compliance and speed to competence KPIs
  • Support site audits, client compliance checks and corrective actions
  • Analyse, forecasts and anticipate training demand and align to labour planning
  • Lead, coach and develop a dedicated site training team
  • Support the Senior General Manager with additional tasks as and when required

What are we looking for?

To be successful in your application you will have proven experience of managing training in a high-volume logistics or ecommerce environment, with a strong operational and warehouse training background. You will have proven delivery of onboarding programmes, skill matrices and cross training. You will have a strong understanding of site-based training compliance, governance and audit requirements and experienced in managing MHE training and certification. It goes without saying that you will be a natural communicator, problem solver and influencer confident in presenting and engaging at all levels.

  • Proven experience of working in an ecommerce environment
  • Exposure to WMS, LMS or labour planning systems
  • Experience of presenting training performance insights
  • Experience of supporting new site launches and ramp‑ups
