Our CL Business Control team has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and data‑driven Senior Finance Business Analyst. In this role you will support the production of weekly accounts, financial KPIs, and continuous development of financial cost models against client portfolios, and support the Finance Business Partner with consolidation of financial data within the relevant sector.
What I will do
- Reporting to the Finance Business Partner you will focus on validating information used in financial reports and liaise on a weekly basis with planning managers and operational leads to understand and explain variations against regular reporting.
- Sustain a working knowledge of volume and cost information sources, identifying & driving continuous improvements to financial data collection and reporting processes.
- Lead and support a team of Finance Business Analysts.
- Liaise with the Business Development & Solution Design teams to support new business opportunities and implementations.
- Modelling financial scenarios to assist the Leadership teams to be able to make informed business decisions.
- Frequent travel to sites (~50% travel).
- Approve management accounts, ensuring that checks are conducted, and the result is agreed with the Finance Business Partner.
- Support in the monthly production of client financial review reports and presentations for use internally & externally.
- Assist in ensuring invoices are raised accurately, queries are dealt with promptly, and minimise overdue debt.
- Ensure continuous development of the portfolio’s finance model.
- Provide insightful and accurate information to all users of the Finance Performance Reports.
- Produce, and oversee production of CEVA financial KPIs in line with the business control manual and assist in analysing and explaining the variations in KPI, budget and forecast performance.
- Assist in the production & initial review of monthly outlooks, annual budgets, and forecasts as required.
- Assist in the production of the monthly MBR packs and completion of files required for the wider CEVA senior management.
- Review and validate balance sheets to ensure items are valid and supported by sufficient back‑up.
What we’re looking for
Our ideal candidate will have proven management accounts and financial reporting experience, ideally within a customer‑facing role. You will be highly numerate with the ability to analyse and interpret complex financial data whilst identifying trends and positively influencing decisions when needed. You will be willing to challenge and interrogate data in a considered and methodical manner, experienced in managing teams and supporting their development, an excellent communicator, able to build trusted relationships and explain complex issues, a logical thinker and natural problem solver, IT literate with good working knowledge of accounting and reporting software, and proficient with MS Excel. CIMA or ACCA qualification is desirable but not essential.
