YOUR ROLE
We’re looking for a detail-driven Quality Inspector to join our dynamic team at our Barton-under-Needwood site, home to one of our most exciting aerospace customers. In this vital role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring our products meet the highest standards through precise and thorough inspections, helping us exceed operational targets and deliver excellence every time.
This is a Monday – Friday role and flexible working times can be discussed.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Reporting into the Inspection Manager you will :
- Ensure quality inspections are completed on inbound and outbound deliveries for a prestigious aerospace customer.
- Measure and inspect parts to relevant engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- You will ensure products fit air worthiness criteria’s and that non-confirming stock is prevented from entering the supply chain.
- Visually inspect parts with high attention to detail using first principal methods, tools and auditing processes in line with regulations.
- Maintain excellent working relationships with the client and internal customers ensuring issues are escalated appropriately and recorded to mitigate supply chain risks.
- You will work in a compliant manner to ensure that products are built to the correct technical and quality specifications.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- A recognised Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship or NVQ level 3 in engineering is required or an engineering apprenticeship is essential.
- Previous experience gained in a quality inspection role is essential.
- A practical understanding of dimensional measurements and the ability to interpret technical engineering drawings.
- Able to demonstrate experience of using a variety of engineering equipment.
- Experience gained in the Aerospace/Aviation industry would be desirable.
