About the Role
Based in London, the North Europe Regional Office oversees operations across 19 countries and more than 1,500 employees. The region plays a key role in developing innovative, competitive and customer‑centric logistics solutions across ocean, inland and contract logistics activities. As a senior leader, you will drive business development initiatives, shape new solutions and contribute to the Region’s growth by transforming CMA CGM’s asset base into differentiated, high‑value offerings for customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across ocean, intermodal and contract logistics, turning assets into tailored, value‑driven solutions.
- Design and launch innovative products and services (e.g. rail corridors, barge solutions, green door-to-door offerings, logistics value‑added services) to drive revenue growth and improve cost efficiency.
- Challenge existing processes and commercial approaches, proposing data‑driven improvements to enhance performance and customer satisfaction.
- Build and strengthen strategic partnerships with key customers, co‑developing solutions and securing long‑term business opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with commercial, trade, logistics and operations teams to align network design, asset deployment and commercial strategy.
- Lead market intelligence activities across European trade and logistics flows, translating insights into concrete initiatives and pilots.
- Identify and evaluate investment opportunities (e.g. assets, partnerships, M&A), including business case development and execution follow‑up.
- Foster an agile and innovation‑driven culture, promoting experimentation, pilot projects and continuous improvement across the organization.
Profile
- Master’s degree in Business, Logistics, Engineering or a related field.
- 10–15 years of experience in business development, solution design or commercial roles within shipping, logistics or intermodal environments.
- Proven track record in developing and delivering complex, value‑adding solutions (e.g. door‑to‑door solutions, integrated logistics, dedicated transport solutions).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into business opportunities (market analysis, pricing, financial modelling).
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders internally and externally.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership and results orientation.
- Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.
- Willingness to travel across Europe as required.
