This role plays a key part in delivering an excellent customer experience, maintaining AEO compliance, and ensuring all air import shipments move successfully from origin through customs clearance to final delivery.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

  • Manage day‑to‑day air import shipments from start to finish, raising job files and ensuring all operational milestones are met in line with customer requirements and agreed deadlines.
  • Prepare and submit import customs documentation, including import declarations and specialist entries such as CITES where required, ensuring full compliance with AEO standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Arrange final‑mile deliveries, including groupage and special movements, coordinating closely with transport partners to ensure timely and cost‑effective delivery.
  • Issue final invoices to the relevant parties upon job completion.
  • Maintain clear and proactive communication, keeping customers and internal teams informed of shipment status, resolving issues, and liaising professionally with airlines and airport handlers to maintain accurate schedule and status updates.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

To be successful in this role, you will have experience working within air freight imports or freight forwarding operations, with a good understanding of customs processes and shipment lifecycle management. You will be highly organised, detail‑focused and comfortable managing multiple shipments simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment. Strong communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work collaboratively with customers, internal teams and external partners. Experience completing import customs declarations and working within AEO‑compliant environments is highly desirable, as is familiarity with airline and airport handling processes.
