Within this pivotal role you will act as a strategic partner to the executive team, ensuring HSEQ is fully integrated into business decision-making while maintaining the highest standards of compliance, governance, risk management, and operational excellence.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

  • Spearhead the development, implementation, and maintenance of robust health, safety, environmental, and quality management across a multi-matrix organisation.
  • Drive strategic initiatives that enhance workplace safety, environmental stewardship, and service quality, aligning with legal requirements, industry standards and organisational standards.
  • Lead a team of HSEQ experts, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to identify potential risks, promote best practices, and develop comprehensive training programs to support employee engagement and competence in HSEQ matters.
  • Cultivate a proactive safety culture and ensure that all operations not only meet but exceed regulatory expectations.
  • Develop and deliver a clear HSEQ strategy aligned to business objectives.
  • Provide strategic leadership to drive a proactive safety and quality culture.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop regional HSEQ teams to ensure consistent performance and engagement.
  • Strengthen governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with UK, Irish, and Nordic regulations and standards.
  • Oversee risk management processes, including identification, mitigation, and reporting of operational risks.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across safety, environmental performance, and quality systems.
  • Act as the senior point of contact for regulatory bodies, audits, and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure robust incident investigation processes and the implementation of preventative measures.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

To be successful in your application you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Significant experience in a senior HSEQ leadership role ideally within a 3PL, logistics, or supply chain environment.
  • Strong strategic capability, able to influence at executive levels.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with a focus on cultural change.
  • Expertise in risk management, governance, and compliance frameworks.
  • In-depth knowledge of HSEQ legislation and regulatory frameworks across the UK, Ireland, and ideally the Nordics.
  • Success in building and leading a highly performing, multi-site and remote team able to implement continuous improvement and engagement.
  • Hold relevant professional qualifications, such as NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.

This is a high-impact role for someone who can balance strategic vision with operational delivery, and who is passionate about creating safe, compliant, and high performing environments across a geographically diverse business.
