YOUR ROLE
Are you detail-oriented and passionate about the world of trade and customs? We are seeking a reliable and meticulous Customs Billing Specialist to join our dynamic team based in Liverpool. In this role you will support our UK customs teams with reporting, invoicing and any other industry costs and fees incurred by the department. This role will see you working Monday to Friday 09:00-17:30.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
- Reporting into the Customs Finance Manager, you will be responsible for generating reports and invoices for customer accounts, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.
- Generate and maintain daily/weekly customer account reports.
- Ensure billing accuracy by coordinating with customs operations managers, teams, and third parties.
- Reconcile discrepancies and manage cross charges with contract logistics team.
- Process credit notes, POs, and monthly duty deferment reconciliations.
- Handle e-commerce key account billing and supplier account setups.
- Send invoices per customer AP requirements and support credit control with outstanding balances.
- Assist with ad hoc customs finance tasks.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Our ideal candidate will have previous experience in a finance or purchase ledger role with strong numerical and analytical skills. You will have a keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, invoicing, and reconciliations. Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will be working closely with various stakeholders. You will be IT literate and be able to use MS based programmes. You will have a proactive approach, problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively will be key to success in this role.
