We\'re currently recruiting for a Classroom Engagement Mentor to work within welcoming and supportive Primary Schools, starting in September.
This exciting opportunity is ideal for graduates looking to gain valuable school-based experience before progressing into teaching, educational psychology, SEND support, social work or other child-focused professions.
As a Classroom Engagement Mentor, you\'ll play a key role in supporting pupils\' academic progress, confidence, engagement and overall development, helping them to thrive both inside and outside of the classroom.
- Main Responsibilities
- Support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 on a one-to-one, small group and whole-class basis.
- Build positive relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and participation in learning.
- Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Deliver targeted interventions in Reading, Writing and Maths.
- Assist children with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, Speech and Language needs and SEMH.
- Promote positive behaviour and help pupils develop social and emotional skills.
- Support pupils\' confidence, independence and resilience.
- Assist with classroom preparation and learning resources.
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.

Requirements
- Degree obtained within the last five years.
- Professional employment references covering the last two years.
- A genuine passion for working with children and young people.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive, enthusiastic and adaptable approach.
- Experience working with children or young people is desirable.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
