How you will create an impact:
- Establishing and maintaining reserves for complex and large claims
- Carrying out negotiations with brokers, face to face when required, on claims where Talbot is the leader or second lead
- Representing the syndicate at market meetings, leading meetings where appropriate
- Attending client meetings
- Leading the delivery of projects outside claims-related responsibilities in order to add value to the department and business
- Supporting senior leadership in the claims team to help the department achieve its broader objectives
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Experience in handling direct and facultative reinsurance claims in the Financial Lines class
- Handling complex claims through discovery process, dispute resolution, mediation, court, obtaining judgement
- Delivering projects additional to core role such as those linked to delivering the business strategy or implementing function-wide change
- Representing Talbot externally at a senior level
