How you will create an impact

  • Engaging with existing and prospective users to understand and document their information needs predicated on an understanding of both business processes and the business decisions that users need to make
  • Provide Analyst support to new and ongoing BI projects to enable them to meet their deadlines
  • Working with IT colleagues to understand and document available data sources and their interrelation
  • Collaborating with other team members to design solutions
  • Collaborating with other team members to develop strong reconciliation and control processes
  • Working with quality assurance to ensure that business requirements are met

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience of fulfilling a BI Analyst role in the full life-cycle of a DW/BI project
  • Demonstrable understanding of the collateral factors that lead to success in DW/BI projects, including user engagement, prototyping, MDM, data quality and educational approach
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Excellent collaboration skills to manage problem resolutions effectively
  • Able to build strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Excellent documentation skills - BRDs, Functional Specifications, User Stories & Source to Targets
  • Can effectively communicate business and technical information across the organisation, being sensitive to the needs of different audiences
  • Able to work independently at the same time as professionally representing the team
