Make your mark in Liability Risk Consulting Risk Consulting is a critical function within AIG's Commercial Underwriting Office (CUO), providing the technical expertise that helps underwriters and clients better understand, assess, and manage risk. Risk Consultants work at the intersection of engineering, science, and insurance, partnering with underwriters, brokers, and clients to identify potential exposures, improve risk quality, and support profitable growth. Their insights help inform underwriting decisions and help clients to ensure the safety of their people, products and processes .
About the AIG Early Career Programme

Risk Consulting professionals support AIG's underwriting organisation by:
- Conducting risk assessments for commercial clients across a variety of industries
- Evaluating operational, safety, property, and liability exposures
- Identifying potential loss drivers and recommending mitigation strategies
- Providing technical expertise to underwriters during the risk selection process
- Supporting account planning and client engagement activities
- Leveraging data, analytics, and industry trends to enhance risk evaluation
- Helping clients improve resilience, and mitigate liability risk
- Assessing emerging risks and changing industry exposures
What you’ll need to succeed
Bachelor's or Master's degree to be received no later than July 2027. Previous work or volunteering experience in any industry or sector. Evidence of extra-curricular activities. A collaborative team player with strong communication skills. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Motivated, proactive and willing to learn. Full UK Driving License required for travel to client sites.
