How you will create an impact

You will support the design, delivery and adoption of data and digital capabilities across the business. This role sits at the intersection of business need, product thinking and platform delivery, working across Talbot’s core data and digital landscape. The role is responsible for helping the business translate operational, analytical and strategic needs into practical, scalable data and digital solutions. It plays a critical bridge function between underwriting, operations and other business stakeholders and the platform teams, ensuring that solutions are well scoped, aligned to strategy, operationally viable and adopted by the business.

This role supports a complex and evolving digital and data landscape that includes:

  • Talisman as the enterprise data platform
  • Spectrum / Underwriting Workbench as key underwriting and operational tooling
  • Ongoing transformation work across digital and pricing capability
  • Data initiatives supporting reporting, controls, performance management and operational insight
  • Business enablement and adoption across multiple stakeholder groups

Key responsibilities

  • Work closely with underwriting, operations, finance, actuarial, pricing and broader business stakeholders to understand pain points, priorities and opportunities for digitisation and data improvement.
  • Translate business needs into clear requirements, solution options, process impacts and delivery‑ready user stories or specification documents.
  • Support product and solution shaping across the Talbot data and digital portfolio, including underwriting workflows, data integration, reporting, operational processes and platform capabilities.
  • Partner with platform teams and delivery partners to assess feasibility, prioritise scope, define dependencies and support implementation planning.
  • Help shape and prioritise the backlog across multiple streams of work, balancing near‑term business need with longer‑term strategic goals.
  • Support design and governance activities for various change initiatives.
  • Ensure solutions are aligned to business needs, platform architecture, risk and control requirements, and market operating standards.
  • Provide functional oversight of delivery progress, working with teams to clarify requirements, resolve issues and maintain focus on business value.
  • Support adoption of data and digital products by working with stakeholders to improve data literacy, define training needs and ensure business readiness.
  • Act as a business proxy within data and digital discussions, helping technology teams understand the operational context and helping business teams understand delivery constraints and trade‑offs.
  • Monitor and report on product adoption, usage and effectiveness, helping to continuously improve value realisation.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Experience in a data, digital, product or business analysis role within insurance; Lloyd’s / London market experience desirable.
  • Strong understanding of underwriting processes, operational workflows and how digital and data capabilities support them.
  • Experience working with business stakeholders to understand needs and shape practical solutions.
  • Ability to translate business problems into requirements, user stories, process models and solution options.
  • Strong understanding of data platforms, reporting, workflow tools and digital transformation in a business context.
  • Experience supporting or influencing delivery across cross‑functional teams, including technology, platform, operations and business stakeholders.
