How you will create an impact
You will partner with underwriting teams, broker relationship managers and leadership in driving Talbot\’s broker engagement, growth activity and portfolio and performance management activities.
This will include leading the analysis of underwriting performance and broker engagement data to identify issues and areas for improvement, along while conducting strategic broker engagement monitoring activities and supporting in growth direction setting.
- Manage the review and production of data and analysis of engaged broker performance against each line of business; partnering with stakeholders including Underwriting, Client and Broker Engagement Team, Leadership and strategically engaged Brokers.
- Lead execution activities to further the business\’ broker engagement and growth activities.
- Recommend and agree actions to be taken to develop engagement of strategic broker relationships and drive growth. Monitor delivery of these actions.
- Drive improvements in stakeholder adoption of recently developed broker engagement and diagnostic dashboards over time. Work with internal teams to improve dashboards where required.
- Produce high quality reports and MI using internal and external sources. Present findings to leadership and relevant broker engagement and portfolio management groups and committees.
- Lead the data gathering and analysis of external and internal data sources to conduct competitor intelligence analysis and thematic reviews on a regular basis.
- Support the team in the execution of broker engagement and portfolio management activities.
- Support driving consistency in our broker engagement and portfolio management approach across classes of business; using judgement to focus on classes and engaged brokers which will have the largest impact on syndicate performance.
- Mentor and guide analysts within the team.
What you\’ll need to succeed
- Insurance industry experience (specialty insurance preferred but not strictly necessary)
- Strong creative thinking and problem solving skills
- High levels of initiative – a willingness to initiate and own work without close instruction
- Experience within an analytical role producing high quality MI & reporting
- Strong IT literacy with MS Office, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint
- A high level of numeric competence; excellent data gathering and manipulation skills – an ability to seek out, examine and draw conclusions from large amounts of information
- Experience of working with multiple stakeholders across different departments
- Excellent communication (including presentation) skills
