How you will create an impact:
- Assist with oversight of risk appetites, tolerances and key risk indicators.
- Support the ongoing process of risk assessments, including deep dives.
- Support the quarterly reporting cycle, including attendance at quarterly meetings with key stakeholders.
- Monitor and record changes in the risk profile of the business, including the effectiveness of the control environment.
- Record and monitor risk management actions.
- Assist in the recording, monitoring and investigation of risk events / incidents.
- Contribute to the annual ORSA process.
- Be an active user of the ServiceNow GRC System, facilitating business attestations and providing training to new users.
- Assist in the design of and/or run reports in accordance with business needs from ServiceNow.
- Assist the Senior Risk Manager and Head of Risk Management to deliver other aspects of the Risk Management plan as required (with the opportunity to be involved in topical / strategic projects).
- Keep up to date with Risk Management best practice and make recommendations for practical application in Talbot as relevant.
- Assist in any training exercises carried out by the Risk Management team.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Graduate with relevant degree.
- Some experience in Risk Management within Financial Services or a Consultancy.
- Highly motivated, inquisitive and a self-starter.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Very strong communication skills.
- Good knowledge of Word, Excel and databases.
- A desire to proactively engage with the business and build strong working relationships.
- Insurance experience advantageous.
