How you will create an impact:

  • Assist with oversight of risk appetites, tolerances and key risk indicators.
  • Support the ongoing process of risk assessments, including deep dives.
  • Support the quarterly reporting cycle, including attendance at quarterly meetings with key stakeholders.
  • Monitor and record changes in the risk profile of the business, including the effectiveness of the control environment.
  • Record and monitor risk management actions.
  • Assist in the recording, monitoring and investigation of risk events / incidents.
  • Contribute to the annual ORSA process.
  • Be an active user of the ServiceNow GRC System, facilitating business attestations and providing training to new users.
  • Assist in the design of and/or run reports in accordance with business needs from ServiceNow.
  • Assist the Senior Risk Manager and Head of Risk Management to deliver other aspects of the Risk Management plan as required (with the opportunity to be involved in topical / strategic projects).
  • Keep up to date with Risk Management best practice and make recommendations for practical application in Talbot as relevant.
  • Assist in any training exercises carried out by the Risk Management team.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Graduate with relevant degree.
  • Some experience in Risk Management within Financial Services or a Consultancy.
  • Highly motivated, inquisitive and a self-starter.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Very strong communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of Word, Excel and databases.
  • A desire to proactively engage with the business and build strong working relationships.
  • Insurance experience advantageous.
