How you will create an impact
This is a fantastic role for someone with an enterprise/operational risk background to join our Risk team in a role that offers a lot of variety and some interesting challenges. You will gain a breadth of experience and have the opportunity interact with senior stakeholders across the business.
Assist with oversight of risk appetites, tolerances and key risk indicators
Support the ongoing process of risk assessments, including deep dives
Support the quarterly reporting cycle, including attendance at quarterly meetings with key stakeholders
Monitor and record changes in the risk profile of the business, including the effectiveness of the control environment
Record and monitor risk management actions
Assist in the recording, monitoring and investigation of risk events / incidents
Contribute to the annual ORSA process
Be an active user of the ServiceNow GRC System, facilitating business attestations and providing training to new users
Assist in the design of and/or run reports in accordance with business needs from ServiceNow
Assist the Senior Risk Manager and Head of Risk Management to deliver other aspects of the Risk Management plan as required (with the opportunity to be involved in topical / strategic projects)
Keep up to date with Risk Management best practice and make recommendations for practical application in Talbot as relevant
Assist in any training exercises carried out by the Risk Management team
What you’ll need to succeed
Graduate with relevant degree
Some experience in Risk Management within Financial Services or a Consultancy
Highly motivated, inquisitive and a self‑starter
Strong attention to detail
Very strong communication skills
Good knowledge of Word, Excel and databases
A desire to proactively engage with the business and build strong working relationships
Insurance experience advantageous
