Overview

In this role you will support the UK Collection Team to ensure timely premium collections and accurate ledgers. You will collaborate with broker partners, onsite towers, and back-office operations to meet financial targets and drive improvements. You’ll handle reconciliations on large data sets, resolve issues proactively, and contribute to continuous process enhancements. Responsibilities

  • Optimize collections through regular engagement with brokers and ledger oversight
  • Maintain accurate ledger positions and control accounts receivable transactions
  • Meet monthly and quarterly targets aligned with business goals
  • Own allocated accounts with up-to-date coding, commentary, and next actions
  • Proactively resolve account issues to prevent overdue items
  • Support bad debt items and improve ledger accuracy
  • Manage discrepancies (premium, commission, tax, gross differences) via internal processes
  • Monitor daily account entries and escalate issues as needed
  • Collaborate with third-party providers for cash handling and query management
  • Ensure timely resolution of queries and maintain accountability to completion
  • Apply strong cash processing controls and validate/reject incorrect items
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in escalation forums

Key requirements

  • Credit Control experience
  • Insurance experience advantageous
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven capability in reconciliations involving large data sets
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (Pivot tables)
  • Strong analytical skills
