Because of your influence, whether direct or indirect, we are able to deliver powerful outcomes for our clients.This role will contribute to the growth of UK Financial Lines by: driving the business plans for our E-trade business development through - Underwriting new and renewal business on our E-Trading platforms; developing and maintaining relationships with existing brokers; assisting in product development and thought leadership; and executing the annual FL strategies.We are pleased to be recruiting for an Underwriter to join our high-performing e-trade team to;Meet individual underwriting expectations to help team achieve budgeted financial objectives.Underwrite within agreed decision making standards, limitations, and underwriting authorityAssess desirability of risk through analysis of financial reports and accounts (as required)); regular contact with broker; thorough review of proposal; and review of claims history and general company information Use designated Underwriting system(s) to streamline underwriting and information-tracking approach across Profit Centre. Input required data consistently and accurately Provide accurate monthly Management information including, but not limited to, submissions, bind rate, average premium, and total premium as requiredProvide excellent service to brokers through consistent, timely, and proactive approach to underwritingExhibit sales orientated behaviours, defined by Management as: motivated, tenacious, focused, technically skilled, proactive, and accountableBuild relationships with brokers by attending broker eventsEnsure all brokers and clients are treated fairlyEnsure customer-centric approachEnsure contract certaintyConduct self-audit as requiredEnsure compliance with key regulatory and risk management responsibilitiesPosition Requirements:Some underwriting experience is desired in Financial Lines, PI, D&O and/or Cyber experience would be ideal; other relevant professional experience may substitute for underwriting experienceActuris or other online platform experience would be advantageous but not essential, the role is primarily an underwriting one.Strong communication skillsTime management - ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced environment, organise work and meet deadlinesDriven by customer serviceAt AIG, we value in-person collaboration as a vital part of our culture, which is why we ask our team members to be primarily in the office.
