As a VAT Specialist within a global tax team, you will own indirect tax matters for UK and Europe, shaping compliant and efficient VAT processes.

Responsibilities

  • Own indirect tax matters for UK and Europe, leading high-profile projects with senior partners and global colleagues
  • Prepare and file UK VAT returns, EU OSS returns, and other foreign indirect tax returns; mentor junior staff performing routine tasks
  • Coordinate transaction documentation for the external firm handling corporate tax returns; gather information from other teams
  • Ensure indirect tax rules are configured in technical systems in partnership with technology and product teams
  • Research and document conclusions on tax matters; prepare guidance and advise other departments
  • Prepare tax expense budgets/forecasts and monitor tax law changes impacting the organisation
  • Record accurate journal entries and reconcile tax accounts
