About the Role

You will help shape and maintain CIMA's qualification portfolio, providing expert direction across the full qualification lifecycle—from design through evaluation and continuous improvement. You will lead a range of contributors and subject matter experts, ensuring that they implement qualification design activities to a high professional standard and ground them in evidence and industry best practice. You will deliver qualification development projects; and oversee planning, progress, and quality control. The ultimate goal is to ensure each product is delivered on time, to scope, and according to organisational priorities. You will report to the Lead Manager - CIMA Qualification Development and use a hybrid in-office / remote work schedule.

You Will

  • Ensure qualifications meet regulatory requirements and industry best practice and remain compliant throughout the qualification lifecycle.
  • Ensure governance of qualification development activities, maintaining clear controls, approvals and documentation.
  • Deliver regular evaluations of qualifications in operation, including assessment validity, curriculum relevance, fairness, and partner feedback.
  • Recommend updates based on evaluation of findings and ensure continuous improvement throughout the qualification lifecycle.
  • Conduct research projects to support qualification design, lifecycle updates, curriculum and learning development, and assessment development.
  • Stay informed about developments in assessment and learning design, contributing insights to shape qualification products.
  • Use technical research outputs produced by our teams or third parties to inform development work and ensure content relevance and assessment validity.
  • Translate research insights into practical guidance for workshops and other development activities.
  • Collaborate with a diverse expert network including employers, practitioners, academics, instructional and learning designers, technologists, pedagogy experts, psychometricians and D&I specialists.
  • Analyse research findings, feedback and assessment data to support qualification evaluation and continuous improvement.
  • Help evaluate and coordinate third-party providers of assessment and learning technology.
  • Participate in development, testing and implementation of technology solutions to support qualification delivery and new ideas.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Experience delivering research or development activities in assessment, curriculum, or learning design within a professional or public awarding body.
  • Experience facilitating in workshops or workstreams involving other teams and subject matter experts.
  • Exposure to qualification development processes within regulated frameworks.
  • Aware of psychometrics and assessment technologies.
