Job Purpose
To drive and motivate Team Members in the achievement of daily operational targets, set by the Supervisory Team, with a focus on guiding and developing staff under your control.
Objectives
- To drive the daily performance of operatives, to achieve or exceed budgeted productivity and quality targets within a warehouse operation in line with departmental KPIs.
- To implement the daily staffing plan, ensuring optimum operational output at all times, escalating any areas of concern immediately to the Outbound Manager.
- As directed by the Outbound Manager deliver training on operational procedures and processes in accordance with company strategy including but not exclusively Good Distribution Practice (GDP) and Standard Operating Practice (SOP’s).
- In conjunction with and supported by the Outbound Manager actively endorse, promote and manage our Safety culture and status through team briefing, training and if applicable regular 121’s.
- Support the Outbound Manager in achieving departmental and company objectives.
- Carry out any reasonable request as determined by the Management Team promoting and supporting company initiatives.
- Take responsibility for managing direct reports, which includes leading coaching and motivating the team through effective leadership to achieve performance targets.

On completion of training this role does have some autonomy in decision making, within limits set by company policy and the Outbound Manager.

- An agreed element of flexibility will be required in relation to shift patterns incorporating evening and weekend working – to be specified by the Outbound Manager.
