Summary of Role

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join our Belfast warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately picking and assembling customer orders using handheld scanning technology, ensuring products are handled with care and orders are fulfilled efficiently. This role plays an important part in maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety, and service within a regulated distribution environment.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately pick and assemble products using a handheld scanner.
  • Ensure orders are selected correctly and prepared to required standards.
  • Move between warehouse stations as required to support operational needs.
  • Manage stock exceptions and transfer products to the appropriate locations.
  • Handle products carefully to minimise damage and use appropriate packaging.
  • Report any damaged stock, pick face errors, or discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping standards within the warehouse.
  • Adhere to all health and safety requirements, PPE regulations, and company procedures.

  • Previous warehouse or order picking experience preferred.

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required. Less than 2 years of experience in warehouse support, distribution operations, shipping, receiving, inventory control, material handling, or a related field required. Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), or equivalent certification preferred. Knowledge in warehouse operations processes, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, staging, and shipping. Knowledge in inventory control principles, stock movement tracking, and material traceability requirements. Knowledge in temperature-controlled handling and cold chain support requirements for sensitive products and materials. Knowledge in packaging materials, reusable shipping assets, and replenishment practices within warehouse operations. Knowledge in shipment documentation, operational recordkeeping, and transaction processing requirements. Knowledge in safe material handling practices and the use of warehouse equipment and tools. Ability to follow established warehouse procedures and standardized work instructions. Ability to maintain accurate records and update operational information in warehouse systems and logs. Ability to identify inventory, packaging, shipment, and material handling exceptions for further action. Ability to support timely and accurate order preparation and material movement activities. Ability to manage multiple routine tasks across warehouse workflows while maintaining accuracy. Ability to work with temperature-sensitive materials in line with defined handling requirements.
