This role is in support of Cencora's third party logistics service in Europe operating through our Alloga business. Join our team at Cencora Alloga, a leading global pharmaceutical solutions organisation dedicated to improving the lives of people and animals.

Are you a skilled Class 1 HGV driver/shunter, looking for a full-time opportunity? Alloga UK is seeking a dedicated and professional Class 1 Driver with shunting experience to join our team in South Normanton. As a Class 1 Driver and shunter, you will play a vital role in providing a professional customer delivery service while maintaining a safe and competent standard of driving. You will be delivering to UK destinations only from our distribution centres.

  • Location: South Normanton Alloga AP5 site
  • Working Days: Monday to Friday - start time between 12noon and 1600pm
  • Hours: 48 hours per week
  • Rate of Pay: £16.43 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver goods promptly and safely, ensuring maximum customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate effectively with the transport office regarding any delays or issues.
  • Complete documentation accurately, including proof of deliveries and returns.
  • Maintain a high level of vehicle cleanliness and road safety, adhering to speed limits and traffic regulations.
  • Conduct daily vehicle walkaround checks and manage secure loading practices.
  • Report any risks, incidents, or temperature excursions as they arise.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of Class 1 driving experience.
  • Skills: Excellent customer care and communication skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • Attributes: Smart appearance, strong interpersonal skills, and a flexible approach to work.
  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 and a sound knowledge of Good Distribution Practice (GDP).
