Summary of Role: We are looking for a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join our team in Exeter on a 6 month fixed term contract. This is a part-time evening role, ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and take pride in maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency. You will play a key role in ensuring goods are handled, processed and dispatched correctly to support daily operations.
Responsibilities:
- Pick, pack and prepare orders accurately for dispatch
- Receive and check incoming deliveries against documentation
- Safely store goods in the correct warehouse locations
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Carry out stock checks and report discrepancies
- Use warehouse systems and equipment where required
- Follow all health and safety guidelines and procedures
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet operational targets.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience preferred but not essential
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organisational skills
- Basic understanding of health and safety practices
- Good level of physical fitness for manual handling tasks
Desirable:
- Experience using handheld scanners or warehouse management systems
- Forklift or other warehouse equipment certification
