As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods to customers while maintaining high standards of professionalism and customer care throughout the day.
Responsibilities
- Complete daily delivery routes across designated areas efficiently and safely
- Load, unload, and handle goods with care to prevent damage
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any defects promptly
- Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and within scheduled timeframes
- Maintain delivery records and complete relevant paperwork or electronic documentation
- Provide excellent customer service at every delivery point
- Follow all road traffic regulations and company procedures
- Work closely with the transport team to ensure smooth daily operations
Skills and Knowledge
- Full UK Driving Licence with a good driving record
- Previous multi-drop or delivery driving experience preferred
- Strong understanding of road safety and vehicle checks
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and work to delivery schedules
- Comfortable using handheld devices or delivery systems
- Reliable, punctual, and professional approach to work
- Physically capable of loading and unloading goods when required
Desirable
- Previous experience within a logistics, transport, or distribution environment
- Experience completing high-volume multi-drop routes
- Knowledge of the Coatbridge and surrounding areas
