We’re currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Greenkeeper Assistant to join our team at Barnehurst Golf Course. This is an exciting time to join us, as American Golf is investing in a significant programme of course improvements including greens, tees, and bunker renovations beginning this year. You’ll be part of the team helping to deliver this next chapter for Barnehurst. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in maintaining the quality and presentation of our course, supporting the Head Greenkeeper, and ensuring our facilities deliver an exceptional experience for every golfer.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Cut greens, tees, fairways, and rough to maintain playing surfaces.
  • Carry out routine maintenance such as verti-draining and hollow coring.
  • Maintain bunkers to a high standard.
  • Blow and sweep greens and tees to ensure presentation.
  • Support upkeep of the driving range outfield, including grass maintenance and ball collection.
  • Assist with general daily upkeep of the course and surrounding areas.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure consistent standards across the course throughout the year.
