Job Summary:

The Radiology Technician performs radiographic and other diagnostic imaging procedures to assist providers in the diagnosis of injuries and disease. The technician will cross-train and assist in other areas of the clinic as operational needs require.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet each patient, verify identity, explain procedures, and address questions in a caring manner.
  • Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging.
  • Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation exposure.
  • Process images and review for quality and proper identification.
  • Ensure compliance with radiology techniques and policies.
  • Perform routine maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and coordinate repairs.
  • Observe safety procedures and promote a safe work environment.

Qualifications:

Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or 6 months to 1 year of related experience/training. ARRT registration preferred.
