About the Role: As a Medical Assistant in our urgent care center, you’ll play a vital role in supporting patients through every step of their visit. This position blends hands‐on clinical work, patient interaction, and teamwork in a setting where no two days feel the same.
What You’ll Do:
- Welcome patients, room them efficiently, and gather accurate medical histories and vital signs
- Assist providers with exams, procedures, wound care, testing, and treatments
- Perform CLIA‐waived lab tests, collect and prepare specimens, and maintain lab quality control
- Administer medications, injections, and vaccines under provider supervision
- Conduct EKGs, point‐of‐care testing, and other diagnostic support tasks
- Draw blood for labs as ordered
- Keep documentation complete, accurate, and timely
- Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for patient care
- Support smooth patient flow in a high‐volume environment
- Perform drug screens and provide patient education and follow‐up instructions
- Contribute as a collaborative, dependable member of the clinical team
- Follow all infection control, safety, and compliance standards
What You Bring:
- Medical Assistant certification or relevant clinical training
- Experience in urgent care, emergency, or other fast‐paced settings (preferred)
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and calm under pressure
