The Colleague Experience Group (CEG) – Amex’s Human Resources function – is responsible for all colleague‑related benefits and programs globally, including career growth and development, leadership and learning, total rewards and well‑being, recruitment, labor relations, colleague servicing, and more. Responsibilities
- Own the full lifecycle of the end‑to‑end recruitment process, building and being responsible for the development of the recruitment strategy for the various business units across the Amex UK sites.
- Ensure a great candidate experience, owning relationships with internal stakeholders to understand business needs, providing insights and delivering on recruitment objectives.
- Leverage market intelligence and industry trends, including understanding the external market; build candidate slates, shortlist high‑quality candidates, and identify channels to source effectively.
- Ensure the role can be managed by relevant sourcing and headhunting strategies while keeping our Colleague Value Proposition at the forefront.
- Operate with a high degree of autonomy and visibility as a Senior Talent Acquisition Partner, supporting, sourcing, coaching, and mentoring colleagues in the team with the ability to work independently.
- Strong senior stakeholder‑management experience is required, presenting data and insights into the recruitment process.
- Coach and mentor peers, leading projects and process improvements independently while ensuring equal opportunities for the team.
- Act as the primary delegate for the Talent Acquisition Manager and step in as needed.
Qualifications
- Recruitment experience in a fast‑paced global recruitment environment handling end‑to‑end recruitment activities, including talent branding, sourcing strategies, selection process, candidate experience, data management, and related responsibilities.
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships across multiple levels.
- Proven ability to support the wider Talent Acquisition Partners with complex and high‑impact recruitment cases.
- Experience managing challenging and niche hiring requirements, partnering closely with business to develop and execute effective sourcing strategies.
- Operate with a high degree of autonomy, confidence, and visibility within the organization.
- Act as a delegate for the Talent Acquisition Manager when required, ensuring continuity and effective team support.
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems and other recruitment tools, technologies, and platforms to improve process efficiencies.
- Outstanding assessment and interviewing skills; strong command of assessment and selection methodologies, instruments, and processes.
- Good knowledge of the recruiting landscape with the ability to produce external trends, market intelligence, and industry insights.
- Proven ability to listen, understand, convey and relate ideas, concepts, and issues clearly and confidently through all channels while being aware of environmental cues.
- Experience working in a team environment emphasizing group contributions.
- Execute multiple projects/tasks simultaneously under strict timelines.
- Fluency in English and a second European language to a professional standard preferred but not essential.
