How will you make an impact in this role?
- Providing technical accounting research and guidance in accordance with US-GAAP
- Supporting business growth activities such as new partner deals, business initiatives, system enhancements through reviewing business contracts and advising Business and Finance partners on accounting and financial impacts.
- Establishing accounting, reporting requirements and continuous process improvements.
- Work closely with Technical Accounting Team to advise on accounting issues and ensure that accounting conclusions are properly analysed and discussed, applied consistently, and documented properly through the preparation of well written and technically accurate memorandums.
- Support business driven initiatives, business partner onboarding and training, implementing new policies and other transformational projects.
- Support all regulatory reporting requirements and audit related work.
- Collaborate cross functionally with difference stakeholders across the organization on new deals / transactions
- Candidates should have a working knowledge of US GAAP, familiarity with reading and understanding contracts. Knowledge of financial systems, operational accounting, internal controls, accounting policies and overall business acumen are important for this role.
Minimum qualifications:
- Significant experience in Accounting or Finance, CPA (UK equivalent) preferred
- University degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent working experience required
- SOX, Operational Risk and/or Audit experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, specifically in the domain of Revenue Recognition and experience in accounting, reporting and statutory audit.
- Strong relationship building skills and ability to influence without direct control.
- Ability to provide strategic thought leadership in complex scenarios, determine an appropriate solution and drive it through to implementation.
