Specifically, our team is responsible for the company’s technology engineering, architecture, and infrastructure, providing 24x7 support to ensure an uninterrupted, high-quality experience for customers and colleagues.

We also provide product management for core enterprise platforms, and lead technology risk and information security, enterprise data governance and platforms, digital product and design, and enterprise AI platforms on behalf of the company. You will be part of a fast-paced, entrepreneurial team responsible for delivering world-class cardmember experiences. We are looking for an innovative, experienced, and talented senior software engineer who will work closely with business unit and development team to develop new system capabilities as defined within the technical/functional specifications.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, cloud-native full-stack applications using Golang for backend services and React.js, TypeScript, and modern frontend frameworks for rich, responsive user experiences.
  • Architect and develop highly available microservices using Go, RESTful APIs, gRPC, event-driven architectures, and asynchronous messaging technologies.
  • Build modern frontend applications using React.js, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and component-based architectures with reusable UI libraries and design systems.
  • Develop secure backend services using Go, implementing authentication, authorization, API gateways, caching, concurrency patterns, and distributed transaction management.
  • Design and optimize relational and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, Cloud SQL, MongoDB, Redis, and BigQuery.
  • Build scalable API integrations using REST, GraphQL, gRPC, WebSockets, and event streaming technologies such as Kafka or Google Pub/Sub.
  • Deploy and operate cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using services including GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, Secret Manager, IAM, Load Balancing, API Gateway, Memorystore, and Vertex AI.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, automate deployments through GitHub Actions, Cloud Build, Jenkins, and Docker/Kubernetes-based CI/CD pipelines.
  • Design resilient, secure, and observable distributed systems using OpenTelemetry, Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, and centralized logging solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, UX, Architecture, and Platform Engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality software solutions.
  • Conduct architecture reviews, perform code reviews, mentor engineers, and promote engineering best practices across frontend, backend, and cloud platforms.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline with 10+ years of experience designing, developing, and delivering enterprise-scale full-stack software solutions.
  • Strong experience developing backend services using Golang, Java, Spring Boot, and modern API frameworks, with expertise in designing scalable RESTful APIs, gRPC services, microservices, and distributed systems.
  • Extensive frontend development experience using React.js, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), Next.js, HTML5, CSS3, and modern UI frameworks such as Material UI or Tailwind CSS, with strong knowledge of responsive design, accessibility (WCAG), and component-driven architecture.
  • Experience building end-to-end full-stack applications by integrating modern frontend frameworks with cloud-native backend services, including state management (Redux Toolkit, React Query, Context API), authentication (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT), and API integration using REST, GraphQL, and WebSockets.
  • Experience building and deploying cloud-native applications using Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and container orchestration platforms, with a strong understanding of scalability, resilience, and high availability.
  • Experience designing distributed systems using microservices, event-driven architectures, messaging platforms (Kafka, Google Pub/Sub), caching technologies (Redis), and asynchronous communication patterns.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools for software engineering productivity, including intelligent code generation, automated testing, documentation generation, code reviews, refactoring, debugging, and developer workflow automation using GitHub Copilot, Gemini Code Assist, ChatGPT, and similar platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of frontend and backend testing methodologies, including unit testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing, and API testing using tools such as Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright, Cypress, Go testing, and Postman.
  • Experience implementing observability and operational excellence using OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Google Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, and application performance monitoring tools.
  • Strong understanding of application security, cloud security best practices, OWASP principles, secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC), identity management, secrets management, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with GitHub-based collaborative development practices, code reviews, mentoring engineers, and driving technical excellence across full-stack engineering teams.
Preferred Additional:
  • Knowledge of payments industry.
  • Experience with coding skills across a variety of distributed technologies.
  • Experience with a broad range of software languages and payments technologies.
