International Card Services (ICS) brings together our International Consumer and Small & Medium Size Enterprises (SME) issuing activities, as well as our Commercial Large Market sales and account development teams. ICS issues Cards in 27 countries, and is responsible for two Joint Ventures covering around a dozen countries. The leaders in these countries are empowered to make decisions at a local level, in partnership with other local business leaders. Local teams are supported by two cross-market teams – the Centre of Excellence, and Risk & Control Management.

Digital acquisition of new Cardmembers is a key driver for growth in the UK market. This success is built on integrated, results-driven execution, a focus on ongoing and robust innovation, and a strong team. The Digital Marketing Executive role sits within the Digital Acquisition team, within UK Card Services which is responsible for managing digital channels to acquire new Cards across our consumer and commercial portfolio. The position is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to leverage and build their digital and performance marketing skills, while driving tangible growth for the business, within a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing key projects and deliverables for our online prospect journey, including our suite of acquisition website pages and our e-application forms, and transformational ‘Big Bet’ capabilities. This will require close and effective partnership with central team technology owners, Acquisition colleagues, local market product owners and multiple other internal stakeholders. Key objectives will be to drive continuous optimizations through leveraging UX best practices and test-and-learn initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Ownership of Digital Acquisition capabilities to drive growth and efficiency in the acquisition of new Cardmembers.
  • Manage end-to-end dynamic offer personalisation strategy and execution within Cardshop, ensuring continuous performance improvement.
  • Maximize product/campaign (consumer & commercial) awareness and performance on-site through best-in-class content and UX.
  • Champion best practice for digital content and UX, factoring in cross device behaviour trends.
  • Leverage competitor and market research to identify opportunities to improve online our acquisition journeys.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders including COE, Compliance, Product teams, Risk and other key stakeholders to align and plan for upcoming initiatives and capabilities.
  • Regularly update wider business teams and senior leadership on project statuses.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will be highly professional, confident and personable with high levels of energy, and a proactive attitude. The candidate will need to be organised to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to manage multiple projects and deadlines, prioritising effectively. It is essential that the candidate is a team player able to work collaboratively with a variety of internal groups, as well as have the ability to drive projects independently.

Some other key requirements:

  • Passion for/background in Digital Marketing, with desire to build experience in Digital Product Management and User Experience (UX).
  • Excellent analytical skills, with ability to identify key success drivers for campaigns, tests, etc.
  • Strong project management skills, ideally experience with UX and digital journey optimisations.
  • Outstanding communication and relationship management skills, with ability to articulate complex ideas simply.
  • Exceptional diligence and attention-to-detail with strong organisational skills, especially with balancing multiple projects.
  • Highly motivated with can-do attitude, and ability to work well under pressure and adapt well to changing circumstances.
