Description

International Card Services (ICS) brings together our International Consumer and Small & Medium Size Enterprises (SME) issuing activities, as well as our Commercial Large Market sales and account development teams.

ICS issues Cards in 27 countries, and is responsible for two Joint Ventures covering around a dozen countries.

The leaders in these countries are empowered to make decisions at a local level, in partnership with other local business leaders.

Local teams are supported by two cross-market teams – the Centre of Excellence, and Risk & Control Management.

An exciting opportunity has emerged to join the UK Acquisition Team.

The performance marketing team are responsible for driving and converting demand to fuel new customer growth.

This role is a critical contributor, delivering growth through our Affiliate Marketing Channel.

The Affiliate Marketing Analyst is a significant contributor to our consumer goals.

As part of the UK Performance Marketing team, you will be responsible for driving the Affiliate Marketing strategy, partnering closely with our Commercial organization and third-party agency to execute marketing campaigns, manage the budget and develop sophisticated multi-channel campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end Affiliate Marketing channel for Consumer acquisition, managing partner relationships, campaign execution, channel performance and associated commercial KPIs.
  • Develop, execute and optimise affiliate marketing campaigns, ensuring high-quality creative execution, rigorous testing and continuous performance improvement.
  • Partner closely with Commercial, Digital Product, Mar Tech, Analytics, Compliance, external agencies and affiliate partners to identify, prioritise and deliver new growth opportunities.
  • Build and enhance affiliate marketing capabilities by collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve customer acquisition journeys, streamline processes and test new technologies and marketing approaches.
  • Produce detailed full-funnel performance reporting, translating large and complex datasets into clear insights, actionable recommendations and strategic plans for senior stakeholders.
  • Support forecasting, budgeting and ongoing performance management, developing a deep understanding of key commercial drivers to maximise channel growth and efficiency.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity and emerging digital marketing technologies to identify opportunities to improve acquisition performance and customer experience.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large, complex datasets, identify trends, interpret performance data and translate insights into commercial actions and recommendations.
  • Strong executive communication skills, with experience developing high-quality performance updates, strategic presentations and business cases for senior leadership, translating complex analytics into clear commercial recommendations.
  • Experience tracking, measuring and reporting on digital marketing performance, with an understanding of attribution, campaign measurement and key acquisition metrics.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and flawlessly execute end-to-end marketing campaigns with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong relationship management skills with experience working effectively with external agencies, publishers, partners or vendors.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing affiliate marketing programmes within financial services or another highly regulated industry.
  • Understanding of affiliate marketing principles, including affiliate networks, publisher models, tracking methodologies and performance-based marketing.
  • Understanding of the FCA regulatory framework and its application to digital acquisition marketing.
  • Experience identifying and testing emerging marketing technologies, including AI-powered customer journeys, Large Language Models (LLMs) and new digital discovery experiences, with the ability to translate innovation into measurable acquisition outcomes.
  • Knowledge of adjacent digital acquisition channels such as Paid Search, Paid Social, Display or SEO, and how affiliate marketing integrates within a broader performance marketing strategy.
