The Pay with Bank Transfer (PwBt) team is a high-growth business within Global Merchant Services UK, focused on becoming the leading Open Banking payments provider in the UK. We operate at the intersection of payments, technology, and commercial strategy, building and scaling a product in a rapidly evolving market. This role sits at the core of that effort. It combines analytical ownership, operational execution, and direct exposure to clients and commercial activity. The position is designed for someone who wants to understand how a payments product performs end-to-end, from data and operations through to client impact and revenue growth. This role is suited to someone looking to build a strong foundation across analytics, product, and commercial disciplines within a live, revenue-generating environment.

Responsibilities

  • Analysis & insights: Own recurring and ad hoc reporting across merchant performance, transaction flows, and product usage. Identify trends, diagnose issues, and translate data into clear actions.
  • Problem solving: Investigate operational and performance issues across the product lifecycle. Work cross-functionally to resolve root causes and improve outcomes.
  • Product & performance optimisation: Identify gaps in user journeys, use cases, and merchant setups. Support initiatives that increase adoption, conversion, and transaction volume.
  • Client exposure: Work alongside Client Managers and Sales teams to support merchant conversations. Contribute to performance reviews, provide insights, and help shape recommendations.
  • Financial & invoicing operations: Support and maintain billing and invoicing processes, including tracking fees, revenue, and associated costs. Perform reconciliations, monitor variances, and ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting inputs.
  • Risk, controls & governance: Support the execution and maintenance of risk and control frameworks. Participate in control testing, maintain documentation and evidence, and support audit and governance requirements to ensure processes are compliant and robust.
  • Market awareness: Build knowledge of Open Banking, payments trends, and competitor activity. Contribute insights to internal discussions on product direction.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to work with data, identify patterns, and form clear conclusions.
  • Structured thinking and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Clear and confident communication, both written and verbal.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with changing priorities.
  • Proactive approach to problem solving and ownership of outcomes.
  • Ability to engage with stakeholders across product, sales, and client teams.
  • Commercial awareness and interest in how products drive revenue and client value.
  • University degree or relevant professional experience.
